Marketing and Demand Generation Specialist
Location: Ottawa, ON (in-office)
Type: Full-time
Salary: $80,000 base

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Marketing and Demand Generation Specialist to support and optimize our marketing function as we continue to scale. This role plays a critical part in ensuring marketing systems, processes, and reporting operate efficiently and deliver measurable business impact. The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of technical expertise, operational rigour, and cross-functional collaboration.

This position works closely with marketing, sales, and revenue operations teams to support campaign execution, events, analytics, and the underlying systems that power go-to-market initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

Marketing Operations & Systems

  • Own and optimize the marketing technology stack, with HubSpot as the core platform

  • Build, manage, and enhance workflows, automations, lead scoring models, and lifecycle stages

  • Maintain data integrity, attribution accuracy, and alignment between marketing and sales

  • Support campaign setup, QA, and execution across email, landing pages, forms, and integrations

Campaign & Event Support

  • Partner with marketing and sales stakeholders to support campaigns, product launches, and events

  • Coordinate logistics and operational support for trade shows and in-person events, including lead capture and post-event follow-up

  • Manage timelines, assets, and tracking for webinars, events, and campaigns

  • Ensure consistent messaging and brand execution across channels

Analytics & Reporting

  • Build and maintain dashboards tracking funnel performance, campaign ROI, and pipeline impact

  • Analyze marketing performance and provide actionable insights to improve conversion and efficiency

  • Track attribution, lead velocity, MQL-to-SQL conversion, and revenue influence

  • Support forecasting, quarterly planning, and performance reviews with data-driven insights

Design & Creative Collaboration

  • Apply design experience to support marketing assets such as:

    • Trade show booths and event materials

    • One-pagers, presentations, and digital ads

    • Landing pages and email layouts

  • Collaborate with internal designers or external agencies to ensure high-quality, on-brand execution

  • Provide feedback and light production support as needed


Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Marketing Operations, Demand Generation Operations, or Growth Operations

  • Hands-on experience with HubSpot (required)

  • Strong understanding of marketing funnels, lifecycle stages, and attribution models

  • Experience supporting trade shows, live events, or field marketing initiatives

  • Comfortable working with data, dashboards, and performance reporting

  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with sales and revenue operations

  • Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills


Preferred Qualifications

  • Design background (formal training or hands-on experience)

  • Familiarity with tools such as:

    • Google Analytics / GA4

    • Looker, Tableau, or similar BI tools

    • Salesforce or CRM integrations

    • Webflow, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or Canva

  • Experience in B2B SaaS or high-growth environments

  • Knowledge of demand generation, ABM, and lifecycle marketing strategies

  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
