Our client is a manufacturer of natural solutions for industrial challenges that used to be solved with basic chemicals, which can be harmful to the environment. Our products are natural and biobased, with no harm to people, animals, or the environment.
We are looking to hire a Marketing Manager who has experience working in a chemical company or a biotechnology company with most of their experience with B2B marketing. This is a hybrid position, with a few days per week in the office, and the balance of the week working from home. Some travel is expected, mostly to attend 2 or 3 trade shows per year.
The Marketing Manager will oversee the analysis, implementation, and execution of competitive strategies, market segment business plans, and product demand. Leveraging expertise in market analysis and go-to-market strategy, you will define the roadmap to reach key industry segments and support the Sales team in executing successful operational marketing and sales initiatives. Reporting directly to the Sales and Marketing Director, you will collaborate closely with Sales and R&D Teams to define key metrics and report on the effectiveness of marketing initiatives in generating qualified leads, driving conversions, and providing overall value to the sales process. Translating market insights into impactful marketing strategies will be instrumental in strengthening the company’s position as a trusted partner to customers worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Create B2B marketing campaigns to build customer awareness in growing beneficial bacteria portfolio for current products and as new products launch.
- Leverage analytical skills to build compelling value propositions through market research, customer/segment mapping, product launches, pricing strategies, and market communication planning.
- Collaborate with the Sales team to execute outbound and inbound marketing activities for the company's portfolio of bacteria-based solutions. This includes leveraging traditional media, digital media, email, trade shows, and other channels.
- Closely monitor industry trends, client needs, and competitive activity to continuously inform and refine the marketing strategy.
- Develop and publish product data sheets and technical application bulletins that support product offerings.
- Define and track KPIs to measure marketing performance, campaign impact, and overall business outcomes.
- Spearhead the development of a multi-year marketing roadmap to drive growth initiatives
- Collaborate closely with R&D to identify and validate new product opportunities
- Analyze commercial performance data and define pricing/portfolio strategies to optimize business impact
- Craft regional marketing plans and provide sales enablement support to the field teams
- Represents the organization at industry events and customer meetings to gather insights and strengthen relationships.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, or other scientific discipline with MBA preferred but not necessary
- Minimum 5 years of relevant Marketing experience in the life sciences, biotechnology, or chemical industry
- Proficient in product segregation, mathematics, and information technologies.
- Excel at navigating complex, matrixed environments, demonstrating the ability to get things done in organization through influence by leveraging extensive interpersonal skills and cross-group/functional collaboration abilities.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize workload with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Responsible, organized with high personal and ethical standards with ability to use sound judgement.
- Effective communication skills, including capabilities to ensure accurate communication with internal collaboration, when necessary, at various levels of management.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and drive needed to work effectively with growing company.
- Experience in project management, with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% as needed.
