About the Opportunity
We’re partnering with a Baltimore-based packaging company seeking an Inside Sales & Marketing Representative. This is a newly created role for an early-career professional who wants to blend inside sales, business development support, and digital marketing into one growing position. The company is building out its internal commercial presence and sees the future of packaging sales becoming more digital, with stronger focus on search visibility, online branding, LinkedIn engagement, AI-assisted marketing, and lead generation. This is a strong fit for someone who is motivated, organized, tech-savvy, and excited by the chance to help shape a role from the ground up.
What You’ll Do
You’ll support lead generation, customer engagement, inside sales activity, and digital marketing efforts.
Key areas of focus include:
• Build and maintain prospect contact lists
• Generate and qualify new business opportunities
• Support quote activity and follow-up efforts
• Work closely with customer service and leadership teams
• Help identify target industries and customers
• Maintain consistent outreach and engagement activity
• Manage and improve Thomasnet activity and visibility
• Support SEO and search engine marketing initiatives
• Build and manage LinkedIn presence and content
• Assist with social media development
• Help modernize branding and digital outreach
• Use AI tools where applicable to improve marketing efficiency and lead generation
Who You Are
You are proactive, curious, and comfortable learning as you go. You enjoy connecting with people, staying organized, and using digital tools to create new opportunities. You do not need decades of experience, but you should bring energy, follow-through, and a willingness to learn technical products and processes. This role is a fit for someone who wants to grow in sales and marketing while helping a company build a more modern commercial approach. You would do well here if you are self-motivated, comfortable being onsite, and excited by the mix of outreach, marketing, technology, and business development.
Preferred Experience & Attributes
• A few years removed from college preferred
• Experience in inside sales, marketing, business development, or digital marketing
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Comfortable working fully onsite / in-plant daily
• Self-motivated and proactive personality
• Tech-savvy and adaptable
• Interest in AI-driven tools and modern marketing strategies
• Comfortable supporting cold outreach and lead generation
• Packaging or manufacturing industry experience is helpful, but not required
