Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the COO of a company that specializes in the home delivery of durable goods (furniture, appliances, building supplies) and the commercial delivery of items that are not suitable for common carriers. Using smaller format truck fleets (straight trucks, sprinter vans), the company deploys world class technology while connecting owner operators and independent contractors with long term and seasonal work assignments. This allows retailers, distributors and regional carriers to quickly deploy trained and insured capacity for highly specialized in-home and detailed commercial deliveries.

The Market Director has a strong background in large product delivery. They have current relationships with owner operators and can successfully train + manage independent contractors. Truly owns the commercial and service side of contracts, can quickly source capacity while building a positive reputation with contracted clients. Willing to take calculated risks for the right rewards. Comfortable running a business and making independent decisions and a true entrepreneur at heart.

The privately-owned employer has developed a highly successful model that allows the Market Director to become a top-earner in the delivery market. This position is available to the experienced candidate who is wants the stability of a guaranteed salary, with the opportunity for an unlimited income.

Background Required:
  • Final mile home delivery (5 years)
  • Management of non-asset-based fleets (hired capacity)
  • Owner Operator/Independent Contractor relationships
  • Driver training on customer specific requirements
  • Administer driver settlements
  • Invoicing customers
  • Source capacity from owner operator market
  • No non-compete limiting freedom to address known clients
  • Computer literate: Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook
  • Residence: Remote Office
