Pier 53 Marine, a full service marina located in Port Clinton, Ohio is seeking a Marine Service Technician with experience in Marine Mechanics, Diagnosis and Repair. Responsibilities include: diagnose, repair, maintain and service marine vessels and related equipment. The job requires strong mechanical and electrical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction. Certification(s) are a plus, compensation is based on level of experience.

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair marine engines (inboard, outboard and stern drive)
• Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tune-ups, winterizations and spring commissioning's
• Install and service marine accessories such as pumps, batteries, electronics and navigation equipment
• Conduct sea trials to verify proper operation after repairs are completed
• Accurately document service work performed, parts used and labor hours
• Communicate with parts and service coordinators and customers regarding repair needs and timelines
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area

Requirements:

• Technical or marine trade school preferred
• Experience as a marine mechanic or service technician preferred
• Strong understanding of marine electrical and mechanical systems
• Problem solving and the ability work independently
• The ability to work outdoors as well as indoors
• Basic hand tools
