Marine Service Technician
Pier 53 Marine, a full service marina located in Port Clinton, Ohio is seeking a Marine Service Technician with experience in Marine Mechanics, Diagnosis and Repair. Responsibilities include: diagnose, repair, maintain and service marine vessels and related equipment. The job requires strong mechanical and electrical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction. Certification(s) are a plus, compensation is based on level of experience.
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair marine engines (inboard, outboard and stern drive)
- Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tune-ups, winterizations and spring commissioning's
- Install and service marine accessories such as pumps, batteries, electronics and navigation equipment
- Conduct sea trials to verify proper operation after repairs are completed
- Accurately document service work performed, parts used and labor hours
- Communicate with parts and service coordinators and customers regarding repair needs and timelines
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
Requirements:
- Technical or marine trade school preferred
- Experience as a marine mechanic or service technician preferred
- Strong understanding of marine electrical and mechanical systems
- Problem solving and the ability work independently
- The ability to work outdoors as well as indoors
- Basic hand tools
