Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering within an industrial environment.
  • Proven expertise in process development, production launches, and optimization.
  • Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and ISO quality management frameworks.
  • Experience with industrial or heavy-duty product manufacturing is preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional projects and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of lean methodologies, such as 5S, value stream mapping, or Six Sigma, is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret technical specifications and engineering documentation to develop precise and accurate process designs.
  • Create, document, and optimize manufacturing processes to ensure repeatability, cost-effectiveness, and scalability.
  • Spearhead the development and deployment of production methods for new products and process revisions.
  • Partner with design teams to facilitate the transition of product concepts into efficient, production-ready processes.
  • Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective measures to enhance process performance and reliability.
  • Maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), process documentation, and forms in alignment with ISO 9000 standards.
  • Act as the primary liaison between product development and production teams, ensuring design integrity throughout the launch phase.
  • Lead pre-production validation activities, including risk assessments, control plans, and process capability evaluations.
  • Support the design and implementation of tooling, equipment, and fixtures to ensure process readiness.
  • Monitor initial production runs to verify process stability and product conformance to specifications.
  • Champion quality assurance by identifying potential process risks and deploying preventive strategies.
  • Apply lean manufacturing principles to minimize waste, enhance throughput, and streamline operations.
  • Contribute to internal audits and develop corrective action plans to uphold process and product quality standards.
  • Lead cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with quality, design, and operations teams to align processes with customer requirements and organizational goals.
  • Communicate process capabilities, improvement strategies, and project timelines to internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Deliver training to production staff on new processes and updated operational standards.
