Guided Search Partners is an Executive Search firm built on Trust, Transparency, Specialization, and Long-term Relationships.
We connect high-performing professionals with organizations that value people, performance, and growth—helping leaders find roles where they can make an impact and build meaningful careers.

About the Opportunity
We’re partnering with a high-volume packaging manufacturer in Chicago that produces folding carton solutions in a fast-paced plant environment. The facility includes printing, cutting, finishing, and warehousing operations, supported by recent equipment investment and a culture that values internal growth. This opening comes at an important time. After several internal changes, the night shift needs a steady, hands-on leader who can bring structure, accountability, and consistency to the team. This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys being on the floor, coaching people, and helping improve quality, waste, and overall shift performance.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead night shift production for a team of about 35 employees across departments.
  • Set expectations around output, quality, waste, safety, and daily execution.
  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, workflow, and issue resolution during the shift.
  • Coach and develop a newer team that needs consistent leadership and accountability.
  • Partner with plant leadership to communicate performance and escalate key issues.
  • Support quality and waste improvement efforts across the operation.
  • Work closely with maintenance and other functions to address production challenges.
  • Reinforce safe work practices, housekeeping, and compliance with plant standards.
  • Support Safe Quality Food responsibilities, corrective actions, and audit follow-up.

Who You Are
You’re a hands-on manufacturing leader who brings consistency, accountability, and strong floor presence. You know how to coach people, solve problems, and keep a team focused on a fast-moving environment. You’re comfortable stepping into a shift that needs direction and momentum. You communicate clearly, led by example, and know how to build trust while raising expectations.
