As a key member of our manufacturing team, the individual will plan, lay out, fabricate and assemble components in the various stage of production. The successful candidate will also use hand power tools to perform various sheet metal, riveting, brazing, and other fabrications following guidelines and procedures.

Plans and lays out from blueprints, complicated parts or assemblies from initial stages to finished product incorporating the proper sequence of operations.
Clamps parts and pieces in proper position while employee locates, clamps, drills, shims, rivets, files, cuts, fits, burrs, reams, flares, screws, bolts, or otherwise fastens pieces or sub-assemblies, including spot facing and torque wrenching.
Selects proper equipment and performs all necessary riveting and related riveting operations, including bucking and blind riveting, countersinking or removing rivets.
Installs, aligns, adjusts and otherwise repairs or reworks any part or sub assembly into the final assembly. Performs sheet metal work in making minor repairs and in installing, aligning, adjusting parts or sub-assemblies into final assemblies.
Performs brazing of assemblies or installation of sheet metal and honeycomb parts to assemblies.
Sets up spot and seam welders for certification and production runs; assists in certification of equipment; ensures material combinations, according to government and contractual specifications.
Performs repairs on rework on any parts, sub-assemblies, cores, or final assemblies. Works on any component part of a major assembly as needed.
Applies braze alloy to face sheets, edge members, and core to face assemblies by spraying on binder and braze alloy, using conventional spray equipment and electrostatic spray apparatus
Scribes/marks dimensions and reference lines on material to develop and trace patterns of product or parts, or uses templates.
Forms sheet metal parts of various types and sizes using hydraulic and/or mechanical forming equipment.
Operates abrasive Waterjet cutting system, a cold cutting process, for cutting metals such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, titanium and copper-nickel alloys. Loads programs into machine based on engineering guidelines.
Sets up and operates radial drill press. Sets up all jobs on drill press. Lays out work using scales and protractors. Performs drilling, tapping, reaming, countersinking and spot facing operations working to tolerances of up to .0015" as required. Selects proper coolants and lubricant for material worked. Uses knowledge of speeds and feeds and proper tooling to use for all type materials.
Trims, files, grinds, deburrs, buffs, and smoothes surfaces within the department.
• Must be able to operate Tow-Motor. • Fork Lift Operator Certification • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
