Manufacturing Plant Controller

As the dedicated Manufacturing Plant Controller for our Camden, AR facility, you will provide critical financial leadership and support to plant operations. This role demands strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, particularly in costing and inventory management. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in steering plant profitability, optimizing cost controls, and ensuring rigorous compliance with both corporate and regulatory standards.

Salary: Commensurate with Experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Direct and optimize plant financial operations and P&L management.
  • Analyze, reconcile, and verify accounting records and financial data.
  • Communicate financial results and analysis to business partners and corporate leaders.
  • Ensure compliance with internal control procedures and SOX requirements.
  • Develop, execute, and review forecasts, budgets, and financial strategies.
  • Prepare monthly financial closing data and manage internal audits.
  • Lead and participate in physical inventory reconciliation and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate intercompany accounts and consolidation records.
  • Implement and maintain cost control measures and operational benchmarks.
  • Prepare regulatory and governmental reports, ensuring compliance across operations.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of progressive accounting and finance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Profound knowledge of manufacturing processes and cost accounting.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to a fast-paced operational setting.
  • Demonstrable experience with financial reporting and internal controls.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and team collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
  • Proven leadership capabilities and experience in a plant or similar setting.
  • Expertise in financial software and advanced excel skills.
  • Strategic thinking with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Experience in managing SOX compliance and audit processes.
