Position Summary

Magellan Aerospace, Winnipeg has an exciting opportunity for a full-time permanent Entry Level or Intermediate Manufacturing Engineering (ME) Planner at our Rockwood Propellant Plant.

Our Rockwood facility is located in rural Manitoba (about 20km North of Winnipeg), near Stony Mountain, MB.

Essential Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Introducing new components and technologies into production in support of cost effective, high quality products;
  • Developing and optimizing manufacturing processes, and preparing detailed process instructions to define the manufacturing processes;
  • Working with internal and external contacts on matters concerning product definition, tooling, inspection, scheduling, corrective actions, and continuous improvements;
  • Creating and maintaining product definition, tooling, process certification, and shop order routings;
  • Investigating and dispositioning non-conformances;
  • Providing shop floor liaison for resolution of technical matters.


Position Requirements / Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering Technology;
  • For intermediate position, 7 to 10 years of related work experience in a manufacturing environment;
  • For intermediate position, experience in sheet metal detail manufacturing, machining components, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, composite manufacture, heat treating and forming operations;
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
