Our client, a growing manufacturer in the Columbia, SC area, has an immediate opening for a Manufacturing Engineer.

Relocation help will be provided for the right candidate.

Qualifications Include:

Experienced in machining of ferrous and nonferrous materials including fixturing, tool selection and cycle time estimating.
Demonstrated factory flow optimization for increases in throughput and overall factory material flow.
Chip cutting experience.
Tool selection, speeds and feeds, fixturing, GD&T, quoting experience, process flow.
Be able to take a print and tell how to make it, how much it will cost and have the ability to go do it.
Sound trouble shooting ability for shop floor issues and machining concerns.
Solid literacy with GD&T and gaging techniques.
CAM Programming. CAD experience a plus.
Familiarity with manufacturing plant operations and equipment

Duties Include:

Quoting mechanical drawings for cost, tooling, fixtures and timing
Creating process drawing from mechanical drawings to release to manufacturing
Tooling usage, types and applications
Trouble shooting shop floor machining issues
Writing and monitor PPAP requirements
BSME Preferred
