Position Summary:

The senior level Manufacturing Process Engineer will evaluate & develop methods to improve efficiency, maximize output, and minimize scrap while maintaining product quality and a safe work environment. This position focuses primarily on the production floor who is very team-focused, implements streamlined processes, and is very product-oriented to produce results. This person will also be using Solidworks Cad software frequently for plant lay-out and jig & fixture tooling. This position reports to the Engineering Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Analyze manufacturing processes to ensure operations are capable of producing at the expected level of product quality & volume of productivity. Will Recommend changes, as needed.
• Ensure new equipment and associated processes are operating as intended after machine installation and process implementation.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing departments on the design, development and validation of new manufacturing processes.
• Encourage efficient use of floor space in collaboration with the Manufacturing department when laying out work cells.
• Conduct PFMEAs, as needed, to address high risk and/or recurring manufacturing issues.
• Communicate with Engineering and Production to coordinate efforts to resolve equipment or process issues that delay or halt production progress.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field required
• 5-25 year's experience in similar role
