POSITION SUMMARY:
Will strive to advance and maintain manufacturing processes for existing products by evaluating product and manufacturing methods in a machining environment. Will assist in deploying manufacturing methods and processes for new and existing products. Audit quality control systems implemented to ensure that the production of products remains consistent with pre-established standards and specifications.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
1. Analyze manufacturing processes in a machining setting by applying knowledge in product design, machining, CNC programming, related tooling, and materials.
2. Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; will research, design, modify, and develop testing manufacturing methods and equipment.
3. Educate new CNC operators in the usage of CNC equipment on a regular basis.
4. Advance manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
5. Ensure product and process quality by devising testing methods, testing finished product and process capabilities, and establishing standards.
6. Provide manufacturing decision‐making information; review production schedules, and estimate future requirements.
7. Keep equipment functional by coordinating maintenance and repair services. Comply with manufacturer's work instructions and established procedures.
8. Complete design and development projects by educating and leading technicians.
9. Ensure a high level of internal and external customer service. Troubleshoot and address customer problems and complaints relating to quality.
10. Develop, record, and maintain quality control standards and ongoing quality control objectives.
11. Coordinate objectives with production procedures in collaboration with engineering to further product reliability and decrease costs.
12. Outline, document and institute inspection criteria and procedures.
