What you will be doing:
- Process Planning: Evaluate and refine process capabilities to ensure competitiveness and productivity, implementing improvements as needed.
- Process Control: Maintain and optimize processes to meet and exceed customer specifications, identifying opportunities for fine-tuning.
- Process Programming: Provide expertise, coaching, and training for CNC programming to support efficient manufacturing operations.
- Process Tooling & Gauging: Design and recommend tooling and gauging solutions to facilitate process improvements and support new product development.
- Process Routings & BOMs: Maintain accurate process routings, rates, and bills of materials to ensure operational precision.
- Quoting: Develop process quotes, including bills of material and labor estimations.
- Capital Improvements: Recommend and support capital improvement initiatives, including justification, installation, and project management.
- Engineering Project Management: Assist the engineering manager with design, drafting, and overflow projects as needed.
- Safety: Promote a safe work environment by addressing safety concerns and fostering a zero-accident culture.
A successful candidate for this Manufacturing Engineer position will possess the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial) or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
- CNC programming experience (preferred).
- Experience with manufacturing processes such as fabrication, welding, painting, and assembly.
- Strong coaching, leadership, and communication skills.
- High personal integrity and a strong sense of organization.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate shop tools
- Familiarity with quality control methodologies and manufacturing principles.
- Project management experience with a proven ability to meet timelines and budgets.
