ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

Develop and maintain applications and systems for CNC automation, manufacturing efficiency, and web-based reporting tools
Develop and maintain Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) standard of measurement and reporting system
Drive daily corrective action and continuous improvement efforts to sustain the elimination of equipment and systems DOWNTIME

Develop, implement and continuously improve digital manufacturing systems
Support the integration of new technology including automation and robotics into fabrication, production assembly, and materials processes
Develop and maintain Oracle Database queries and procedures for manufacturing automation.
Prepare work instructions, procedures, JSAs, capability charts and supporting documents as needed to support the execution of automation and manufacturing systems
Monitor and adjust production processes or equipment for quality and productivity

Interface with Production Engineers to ensure design for automation, machine capabilities, and material specifications are understood and best practices are achieved
Research, justify and implement equipment and/or tooling projects ranging from $10k to $1M
Lead improvement of steel utilization, and produce a documented reduction in scrap
Troubleshoot and improve daily CNC programming issues or limitations to optimize system usage
