Manufacturing Design Engineer

The Manufacturing Design Engineer will be responsible for developing and documenting manufacturing processes and designing the tooling for the plant - from initial design to full-scale manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Designing foundry tooling, core assembly fixtures, unloaders, gages, and processing fixtures
• Creating CAE models for simulation and managing model databases
• Overseeing design work with outside contractors and internal teams
• Leading program management for new products and tooling
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production performance
• Documenting every detail of our tooling and process designs
• Acting as project manager on key equipment and tooling initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or 3-5 years of mechanical design experience
• Expertise in 2D and 3D modeling (SolidWorks experience preferred)
• Proven ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
• Highly organized with excellent documentation and record-keeping habits
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and results-driven
• Experience managing projects and collaborating across all levels of an organization
