This Hospital is a 60 bed acute care, community-based, not-for-profit hospital serving residents of COASTAL Northern California and COASTAL Southern Oregon. This hospital is affiliated with the largest health system in CA and a national leader in non-profit exceptional patient care.
Due to explosive growth and contrition, our client has an immediate need for exceptional Manager for their for their very dynamic Surgical Services unit. This position will report directly to the CNO.
The Surgery Manager oversees and manages the clinical, operational and fiscal performance of the department; to include: Endoscopy, PACU, Sterile Processing, Pre-Admission Clinic, Sterile Supplies, Ambulatory Surgery Unit and Surgery. This is a twenty-four hour responsibility. Emphasis is placed on clinical expertise in Surgical Nursing. Responsibilities for the department includes support and promotion of hospital and community liaison, staff development, capital and operational budgets. Provides indirect (and occasionally direct) care to patients ranging in age/developmental stages from infants to geriatrics. The Surgery Manager ensures that the treatment of patients is individualized and reflects understanding of the development needs and range of treatments for each patient.
Qualifications
Education/Certification/Licensure
- Minimum of a Bachelor Degree is required.
- CPR, ACLS and PALS are required.
- CNOR is desired.
