Our client is a financially successful, community hospital and dynamic regional healthcare provider that is quickly evolving to meet the needs of its service area.
They are looking for a Manager of Surgical Services to help take the department to a new level of service.
The Clinical Manager works with the Director of Nursing to ensure excellence in the clinical practice of nursing and the delivery of patient care in the operating rooms, PACUs, and is responsible for directing the hospital's Sterile Processing Program ensuring a high standard of supplies. The Clinical Manager assures that the departments will meet or exceed DNV, Title XXII, and hospital requirements and that the departments will be maintained in a cost-effective manner. To ensure the focus of clinical excellence, the manager will hold 24-hour accountability for the Operating Room and Sterile Processing.
- Current RN licensure to practice in California or eligible.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room experience within the past 3 years required.
- Management experience at Charge Nurse level or higher required.
- Healthcare Provider CPR completion card required and maintained.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required within 1 year of employment and maintained thereafter.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required within 1 year of employment and maintained thereafter.
- Ability to read, write, understand and communicate effectively in the English language.
- Must be able to put into practice Service Excellence skills with our patients, families and co-workers.
- Ability to provide leadership in a positive direction that is consistent with the policies, goals, objectives, mission and vision of the Hospital and Nursing Department.
