Manager of Patient Safety

Salary: $125,000 to $150,000 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and implement systems and processes to ensure optimal patient safety across the hospital.
  • Monitor and analyze patient safety data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and lead initiatives aimed at reducing medical errors and enhancing patient care quality.
  • Conduct comprehensive safety training sessions for hospital staff to foster a culture of safety.
  • Investigate and address incidents that may compromise patient safety, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Cultivate relationships with healthcare leaders and staff to promote and sustain safety practices.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a related healthcare field.
  • Obtain California Fire and Life Safety Card within 30 days of hire.
  • At least five years of experience in an acute care hospital setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing or a related healthcare field.
  • Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) certification upon hire.
  • At least two years of dedicated patient safety experience in a healthcare setting.
