Manages plant Human Resources activities, including employment, employee relations, compensation, EEO policies, policy interpretation and administration, benefits, employee training and development and fair/equitable treatment of all employees in accordance with local, state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

  • Requires direct experience in a manufacturing environment at the plant level. For candidates open to relocation, preference is given to those with a background in food manufacturing or related sectors.
  • Seeks early-career professionals with 3–5 years of relevant experience, demonstrating foundational knowledge and growth potential.
  • Open to candidates with a generalist HR background, capable of handling diverse responsibilities in recruitment, employee relations, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designs and implements efficient recruitment strategies to maintain optimal staffing levels while aligning with budgetary objectives. Drives initiatives to meet workforce quality and quantity goals.
  • Collaborates with operational leadership to develop and execute programs aimed at enhancing employee retention and achieving turnover targets. Fosters a positive workplace culture through proactive employee relations initiatives.
  • Oversees investigations into employee concerns, ensuring timely and fair resolutions. Provides guidance on disciplinary actions and supports the organization in responding to regulatory agency inquiries (e.g., EEOC, Wage and Hour).
  • Administers corporate compensation and benefits programs, ensuring accurate and timely performance evaluations and goal-setting processes.
  • Advises leadership on current HR regulations, trends, and best practices. Ensures accurate interpretation and application of company policies, handbooks, and legal requirements.
  • Develops and implements training programs to address organizational needs and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Partners with operations to execute emergency response plans and implement strategies to minimize workplace accidents and Worker’s Compensation costs.
  • Maintains accurate and confidential employee records, including payroll, benefits, compensation, personnel files, and Worker’s Compensation documentation. Ensures timely and accurate reporting of HR metrics.
  • Undertakes other responsibilities as assigned to support organizational objectives.
