Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the CFO for one of the largest makers of specialty baked goods and products in the Midwest. They have over 750 associates in 20 locations with 2 large productions facilities and 18 distribution centers. Markets and sells 60 products in over 8 of the industry’s major product categories. Sells its products directly (DSD).
This finance leader plays a key role in planning, forecasting, designing, and tracking the company’s use of available resources for current operations and analysis of future projects ROI, investment alternatives, and financial and strategic implications to the business. Works closely with all cross-functional department heads and the CEO to drive profitable growth for the company.

Background Required:
  • Financial roles with progressive responsibilities in a CPG manufacturing environment (3 years)
  • Finance in manufacturing (7 years)
  • Developed annual financial plan working collaboratively across all cross-functional areas
  • Forecasted & tracked projections vs actual for income statement, balance sheet, & cash flow & liquidity
  • Key finance leader for analyzing projects that require a material amount of investment
  • Performed capital planning and analysis
  • Used financial modeling to simulate financial results across multiple scenarios & provide recommendations
  • Effective at executing multiple projects & effective time management
  • Understanding of GAAP accounting and informed legal implications of projects under consideration
  • Computer literate: highly proficient with Microsoft suite (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Residence: North East Ohio (Relocation assistance available)
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Finance in Food manufacturing
  • Hired, trained, developed, and motived staff
  • Has interfaced with and utilizing legacy computer systems and software
  • Advanced education: MBA
