Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the President of a $ 85 million regional truckload, dedicated and logistics firm with 290 tractors, 1000 trailers and 100,000 sq. ft. of warehouse space operating from 4 locations.

The Manager of Driver Recruiting is a player-coach leading a team of 3 driver recruiters and 1 processors to recruit 6-8 OTR company drivers and an additional 4-6 local/dedicated drivers per week. The goal in the near term is to seat 60 trucks immediately to grow from 290 to 350 trucks. Oversees the recruitment and retention of the company, to provide a sustainable mix of safe, qualified drivers in a manner that properly manages cost and maximizes return on invested advertising dollars. Maximizes Return on Investment ($6,000 cost per hire). Process applicants in an efficient manner. Enforces tools, processes, and collateral to improve recruiting productivity & effectiveness. Monitors budgets & targets, reports those to the appropriate company executive. Screen and pre-qualify applicants. Recruits’ driver trainees. Provides driver assistance. Provides safety support. Involved in driver orientation and seminars. Primary duties will include, but are not limited to, answer recruiting calls, coaching recruiters, maintain consistent, steady flow of qualified driver applicants entering weekly orientation class. Screen and pre-qualify applicants, Challenge is to recruit quality individuals to improve driver retention and lower driver turnover. Responsible for annual requirements related to driver CDL’s, MVR checks and DOT physicals.
