With over 150 beds, your actual hospital stay is just one part of the wide range of care that our client offers. As the only Level II Trauma provider in the region, they offer a challenging and dynamic environment not found in other local hospitals.

Their facility has been a Consumer Choice Award winner for quality for several years running.

They have engaged our firm to help the locate the best Critical Care candidate in the market today. This is a 16-bed department but has the potential to increase to a 22 beds when hospital capacity is in need. We care for med/surg patients who are critically ill, require intensive therapy and specialize in a structural heart program. The unit works collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team, inclusive of an Intensivist provider model, to progress care timely and/or make clinical determination to next level of care. Common admission diagnoses are primary open heart, septic shock, CRRT, respiratory failure, STEMI, resuscitation with targeted temperature management and DKA.

Position Summary:

The Patient Care Manager providers administrative and operational leadership within the department and is primarily responsible for advancing clinical care through team and personal professional development, staffing and performance management, workforce development and clinical support and overall patient care delivery. Ensures maintenance of safety and regulatory compliance. Promotes shared decision making. Provides input into strategic planning process to achieve organizational goals. Develops departmental initiatives that focus on employee engagement, process improvement, patient satisfaction, and workplace safety.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science and Nursing is required.
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification is required.

Preferred Education:

  • MSN.

Required Licensure:

  • Valid Wisconsin Registered Nurse License is required.

Required Experience:

  • Three years of leadership experience which includes leading work teams and/or projects is required.

Preferred Experience:

  • Three years of clinical practices as a Registered Nurse, preferably in an acute care setting is required.
