Position: Group Lead, Product Engineering
Location: On-site – San Antonio, TX
Travel: ~20%, occasional last-minute travel may be required

A leading robotics company is seeking a Group Lead, Product Engineer to manage a cross-functional team delivering complex electro-mechanical systems for logistics and e-commerce automation. This high-impact leadership role combines engineering oversight with hands-on technical execution and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and grow a small team of electrical and mechanical engineers (4–6 people)

  • Drive the development and release of hardware solutions, including robotic grippers and control systems

  • Collaborate with product managers, integrators, and manufacturing partners to align on roadmap and execution

  • Oversee factory testing, interface design, and system integration efforts

  • Implement engineering best practices and drive continuous improvement

  • Support field operations and deployment teams with technical insights and problem-solving

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in hardware product development or robotics, with at least 2 years of team leadership

  • Strong background in mechanical, electrical, or systems engineering

  • Proficiency in tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD Electrical, and common programming frameworks (C++, Python, ROS)

  • Experience with manufacturing optimization, cost reduction, and hardware/software integration

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or related field
