Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Engineering Manager of a leader in beauty and care products in the world
Manager, Process & System Engineer is responsible for developing and managing a group of (2-4) engineers with technical and fulfillment operations background. Supports the business model of cultural transformation through the integration of operational excellence principles. This role also supports understanding of data analysis, material handling automation systems, process improvement strategies, labor planning and optimization. Leads best practice development and cost reduction activities. Partner with internal and external teams to achieve project results. Ability to identify, quantify, and recommend operations improvements and systems enhancements initiatives leading to improved efficiencies.

Background Required:
  • Third Party Logistics Warehousing/Distribution Industrial Engineering (3-5 years)
  • Management & Leadership
  • Material handling equipment
  • Storage technologies
  • Warehouse operational knowledge (i.e., pick methodology, work measurement, labor management, slotting)
  • Warehouse systems (i.e., WMS, WCS, WES)
  • AutoCAD and SQL software
  • Customer facing role
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively analyze data to identify trends, results, and opportunity for improvement
  • Ability to align resources to drive lean principals and process improvement
  • Implement and Develop measurement systems that drive appropriate action and support business goals
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (Industrial Engineering or related)
  • Residence: Columbus, OH
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Advanced Degree
  • Retail Engineering
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
Other Essential Abilities and Skills:
  • Analytical (i.e., data collection, analysis, design, recommendation, root cause investigation)
  • Interpreted financial reports, technical procedures, engineering drawings, and governmental regulations
  • Wrote reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
