Our client is one of the top Pediatric hospitals in the United States.
They have an immediate need for a seasoned Manager/Director to lead one of their most valued departments.
The selected candidate will have responsibility for a 7 employee unit with the opportunity to grow.
Leads the operations and strategy for the Occupational Health (OH) department to assure the health, safety and wellness of a large and diverse workforce. Responsibilities include: leadership for an on-site OH clinic providing new hire, injury, and exposure management; oversight for 24x7 processes for clinical care and customer service (in some cases relying on key partnerships to provide services); development and management of policies and procedures to govern the delivery of increasingly complex OH services; development and management of OH programs; serve as subject matter expert in the OH field, leveraging Medical Director for OH consults; and foster key partnerships throughout the organization working collaboratively with key stakeholders to continually refine the organizations Occupational Health vision and program for employee safety.
Job Responsibilities:
- Leads the organizational strategy to ensure the occupational health services and program meet the organizations existing and expanding needs, with a focus on employee safety.
- Working in partnership with operational and clinical leaders, assesses and delivers occupational health services with a focus on customer service.
- Responsible for System Occupational Health program compliance with all regulatory standards (OSHA and Joint Commission).
- Serves as the organizational expert in employee health and safety, including best practices from peers and industry.
- Leads the Occupational Health team, including: recruiting, coaching, management and development of a high performing and engaged team; partnering with the Medical Director on operational planning; planning for and managing to the departmental budget; oversight of operational systems and processes; and alignment of individual and department goals with and system leadership priorities.
Requirements:
- Requires knowledge of theories, principles and concepts typically acquired through completion of a minimum of a bachelors degree in nursing
- Requires minimum 3-5 years experience in adult patient care.
- Requires 3-5 years leadership experience, preferably in an OH hospital setting.
Preferred Education, Experience Cert/Lice:
- Prefers masters in nursing, business, healthcare administration or other related field
- Prefer Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN)
