Manager of Home Health Rehabilitation

Our client is a comprehensive, fully integrated, healthcare delivery system that serves the greater North Shore and Illinois communities with several hospitals, over 1000 licensed beds and too many awards to list!

They have engaged our firm to identify a Manager to help manage one of the largest home health departments in one of the most desirable suburbs in the Chicago land area.

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a Rehab Manager for our client's Home Health department. This is a full-time (40hrs/wk) position and is benefits eligible.

Responsibilities:

The Clinical Manager position is an integral part of the home health management team. This position supports, coaches, educates and monitors staff performance in an interdisciplinary, geographically based structure. The manager oversees a team of clinicians working in the field and deals directly with staff, patients and referral sources to support staff, improve quality and resolve concerns. In addition the manager collaborates with other major hospital areas such as orthopedics to assists in developing cross continuum programs within our 4 hospital system. Position is not discipline specific, but requires a bachelors degree at minimum, masters preferred. It is a full time, salaried position, with occasional weekend work required. Previous management experience is essential, as is a thorough knowledge of Home Health specifics including COP’s, OASIS and management of field staff. Candidate should demonstrate initiative in problem solving and work process design to improve operational efficiency, have excellent customer service skills and a dedication to high quality in order to provide excellent care to our patients. 

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • BS degree Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech/Language Pathology or Nursing.
  • Masters degree or above preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years clinical experience and 1 year home care/hospice experience.
  • Previous supervisory experience highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Home Health Medicare Conditions of participation and OASIS required.
  • Current Illinois Therapy or Nursing Licensure required.
  • CPR Certification required.
