Manager, Fund Accounting (Private Equity)

About Our Client:
Our client is seeking a professional Manager, Fund Accounting with 4+ years accounting experience with 1+ year of leadership/supervisory experience.
Responsibilities
- Offer leadership and mentorship to senior accountants
- Prepare quarterly financial statements and reporting for private investors
- Prepare monthly close and joint venture consolidation process and review monthly reports
- Prepare annual tax documentation for private investors
- Review limited partner funding calls and distributions including incentive fee calculations
- Managerworkbooks to enhance accuracy of financial reporting
- Verify and oversee journal entries
- Execute and brainstorm system and process improvements
- Manager proper internal controls
- Collaborate management on special projects (required
Qualifications
- University degree in Finance, Commerce (or relevant field) and CPA certified
- 4+ years accounting experience with 1+ year of leadership/supervisory experience
- Background in private equity, funds management or financial services (preferred)
- Experience with consolidation and elimination entries
- Experience with incentive and waterfall calculations
- Strong background working with US GAAP and financial reporting
- Strong communication skills- both oral and written
- Detail oriented, professional and organized
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Office- Excel specifically
- Knowledge of Yardi and/or Microsoft Dynamics NAV (asset)
- Residential real estate experience (preferred)
- Background working in SOX environment (asset)
