This center is a 300+bed hospital offering a full range of healthcare services including Emergency services, accredited chest pain and heart failure programs, neurology and neurosurgery, outpatient imaging, a nationally accredited surgical weight loss program, total joint program, spine program and stroke center (distinguished by Gold Seal designations), robotic surgery, GI lab, a free-standing women's center, inpatient rehabilitation facility, wound care center, and five urgent care facilities.

My client seeks a fantastic ER Leader who will oversee the operations of a very busy Emergency Services Unit.

Plans and implements the overall nursing policies, procedures, and services for a unit. Maintains nursing staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training clinical staff. Ensures that nurses are current in competencies, assessments, licensure, certifications, and other annual training. May provide direct patient care and is responsible for assessing, planning, and evaluating patients. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to top management.

Qualifications

 

• Associate's Degree minimum, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• Five (5) years experience in the area of specialty, and two (2) years of supervisory/management experience.
