Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the director of human resources for a regional truckload carrier handling both refrigerated and non-refrigerated freight.

The Manager, Driver Recruiting is responsible for the overall management of 5 full time recruiters to recruit 15 drivers per week as a team. Leads recruitment planning & staffing/employment, recruitment planning, staffing practices and processes, recruiter vendor & systems management & recruiting. Partners with director of human resources to develop, implement & evaluate effective recruitment strategies and processes in order to attract & retain qualified candidates. Consults regularly with the operations & safety departments & the hiring managers in the selection of drivers. Ensures hiring is within company policy and that AA/EEO guidelines are in sync with the companies mission & values. Establishes and maintains contacts with sources of employment such as trade schools, trucking schools, associations, & local, regional & national companies. Develops & revises company policies and procedures related to the staffing functions ensuring adequate service delivery. Partners with HR to oversee an effective on-boarding process for the new hire orientation program & ensures consistency when appropriate at other site locations. Manages TenStreet for applications online and works with the background companies to ensure compliance with best practices in Commercial Driver applications and timely coding of non-qualified applications for HR handling. Travel 10%.
