Manger of Critical Care CCU ICU

Reporting to the Director of Medical Surgical Specialties, the Manager will be responsible for directing, supervising and coordinating the daily clinical and administrative activities of the cardiovascular clinics. Works collaboratively with faculty and manages a team consisting of nurses, medical assistants and administrative staff. Manages operations to maximize patient satisfaction, patient access, verification of benefits, timely and accurate charge entry, collection of payments and customer service efforts. Implements objectives, policies and procedures for the clinic including fiscal management. Responsible for staff hiring, performance management and staff retention. Works with the Director and other health system leaders with implementation and development of long-range strategic plans. Maintains environment to comply with regulatory, licensure, compliance and accreditation requirements. Serves as the first point of contact for patient and external customer complaints. Performs other duties as assigned.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • BSN
  • RN License issued by the State of California or eligible.
  • ACLS and/or ART at time of hire with commitment to get ART w/in 6 months of hire date.
  • Must have two (2) or more years of management experience within a large healthcare system, with at least three (3) years in an Critical Care environment.
  • Demonstrated analytic/financial skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Master's in Nursing, Healthcare Administration and/or Business Studies.
  • Previous experience in critical care.
  • Nursing Administration Certification.
