Reporting to the Senior Manager of Construction Finance, this person is both a manager and a mentor, providing financial leadership and analytical support across the broader finance organization with responsibility for budgeting, forecasting, variance reporting and analysis of he company's multi-billion-dollar capital projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for the financial management of specific business area(s), focusing on development of initial budgets, reporting actuals, variance analysis, trend and forecast updates, liquidity management, change management, contract review, supplier risk analysis, and understanding and assisting with accounting treatment.
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual reports of financial results, support external reporting requirements, and perform ad-hoc reporting for executives, as requested.
  • Proven track record crafting robust models and recommendations based on analyzing a large amount of information.
  • Supervise a team of analysts fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and accountability as well as provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members to grow their skills. Delegate tasks effectively while ensuring deadlines are met with high-quality results.
  • Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including development, construction, accounting, and project controls leadership to track financial performance, maintain budgets, and drive operational excellence.
  • Develop processes, improve existing processes, and influence change across teams.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Analytics or a related quantitative field
  • 8 years of progressive experience in Finance, Business Analytics, Cost Engineering, Project Controls, Accounting or a related field(s)
  • 1 year managing a team effectively getting results on day-to-day activities, long-term initiatives, and an ability to develop talent
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Great organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work with high level of ambiguity and complexity
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment
  • Experience with cross-functional collaboration and capable of developing constructive partnerships across all levels of the organization
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, presenting key details and conclusions succinctly to leadership
  • Advanced proficiency in utilizing Microsoft applications, including Excel and PowerPoint, to effectively analyze and communicate financial data
  • Willing to work in office daily
