CVOR Nurse Manager – Open Heart Leadership Opportunity

Northern California Relocation Available

If you’ve built CVOR teams before — this is your chance to build one the right way.

This established cardiovascular surgical program supports approximately 70% of NORCALs open-heart cases across 4 CVOR suites. Leadership is committed to stabilizing staffing, transitioning to a mixed care delivery model, and elevating surgical quality and operational efficiency.

What You’ll Lead

  • 20+ nurses
  • High-acuity open-heart volume
  • Pediatric and adult cardiovascular populations
  • Endovascular procedures (plus)

What You’ll Do

  • Direct day-to-day CVOR operations
  • Oversee staffing stabilization and workforce model transition
  • Manage productivity, supplies, and financial targets
  • Strengthen physician and multidisciplinary relationships
  • Lead regulatory and compliance initiatives (USP 800, accreditation)
  • Develop and mentor the next generation of CVOR leaders
  • Improve workflows and patient throughput

What Makes This Role Different

  • True service-line authority
  • Executive-level compensation
  • System-backed resources
  • One primary shift model (6:30–15:00)
  • Opportunity to create lasting impact in a high-profile cardiac program

Ideal Background

  • 8+ years relevant RN experience
  • 3–5 years CVOR leadership or service line coordination
  • Minimum 2 years open-heart RN leadership required
  • Experience with pediatrics and adult CV cases
RN (California licensure required but will consider out of state candidates committed to moving to CA)
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS
  • CNOR preferred

This role requires a hands-on leader who can command respect clinically and operationally.

If you are currently a CVOR Supervisor, Service Line Coordinator, or Manager ready for larger scope and compensation — let’s talk confidentially.
