About the Company
Our client is a leading global intelligence, data and analytics organization serving the life sciences and healthcare industry. The company helps pharmaceutical, biotechnology and healthcare organizations make critical decisions by combining trusted scientific information, proprietary data, advanced analytics, software, technology-enabled workflows and expert consulting services. Its international platform supports customers across the Americas, Europe and other major global regions.
The organization is continuing to evolve its enterprise-commercial model as customers increase their investment in artificial intelligence, automation, digital platforms, data integration and modern technology infrastructure. This creates an opportunity for senior account leaders to shape how the company's capabilities are brought together around the most important priorities of major global pharmaceutical clients.
Position Overview
The Global Key Account Director will serve as the senior commercial leader and strategic coordinator for one or more of the company's most important global pharmaceutical relationships. The role owns the overall account strategy, aligns cross-functional teams and connects senior customer priorities with a broad portfolio spanning enterprise data, analytics, SaaS, APIs and integration, AI-enabled workflows, consulting and managed services.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive global account strategies aligned with each customer's enterprise priorities and the company's long-term growth objectives.
- Serve as the primary commercial coordinator across a matrixed account ecosystem spanning data, software, analytics, technology, consulting, services and subject-matter expertise.
- Build and maintain multi-threaded relationships with senior business, functional, data, digital and technology stakeholders across regions and buying centers.
- Identify and advance growth opportunities involving recurring data and SaaS relationships, analytics, APIs and integration, AI-enabled workflows, consulting, managed services and technology deployment.
- Translate complex customer challenges into coordinated, cross-functional solutions rather than isolated product conversations.
- Lead account planning, pipeline strategy, opportunity development, commercial negotiations, renewal planning and long-term relationship growth.
- Align internal stakeholders across business lines and geographies, establish clear ownership and maintain momentum throughout complex sales cycles.
- Develop coherent worldwide engagement strategies while accounting for distinct customer priorities, regional stakeholders and existing account resources.
- Represent the organization credibly in senior-level conversations involving data strategy, digital transformation, artificial intelligence and changing pharmaceutical operating models.
- Maintain a strong in-person presence with customers and use executive engagement to strengthen trust, visibility and strategic relevance.
