Job Description
PROFILE:
Our client is a well established manufacturer in the Clarksville, TN. area who has a global presence with manufacturing plants around the world. This particular facility in Clarksville has recently expanded and has been growing it's employee count to support new business and manufacturing lines it has brought in.
POSITION:
Our client is seeking 4 additional Maintenance Technicians to help maintain new and existing production lines at the plant, in an effort to maintain a healthy work/life balance for the Maintenance team. These positions are on a 12 hour night shift (6PM to 6:30AM). At this point, there is the option to have input on which shift you join. As a Maintenance Technician for this company, you will work on industrial equipment, complete PMs, machine installations and machine repair. A large part of the work will include PLC troubleshooting (you are not expected to be able to program), reading the ladder logic and reset the PLC is necessary.
You will also do electrical work to include up to 480V single and 3 phase power. You will also do mechanical work such as rebuilding pumps, motors, servo drives and other machine related parts. Experience working with hydraulics and pneumatics are expected too. The expectation for applicants is to be able to quickly identify and fix issues with downed production equipment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to troubleshoot PLCs (Siemens and Allen Bradley primarily)
- Must have prior experience working in Maintenance in an industrial manufacturing plant
- Must be willing to work 2nd or 3rd shift
- Must have prior experience working with 480V electricity, hydrualics and pneumatics
- Must have a great mechanical aptitude
- Must be able to work on teams or alone to address machine maintenance
- Ideal candidates will have a Maintenance related degree but is not required
- Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder
- Perform installation on plant and commercial doors, locks and keys
- Complement leadership coaching support and leadership development programs
- Take initiative and action to respond, resolve and follow up regarding customer service issues with all customers in a timely manner
- Maintain good employee relations while establishing accountability for individual behaviors
- Maintaining employee relations; engaging in project planning; weekly involvement with ISO9000; evaluating existing ergonomic practices and developing new ones; and performing other responsibilities as the need
- Provide competent and effective mechanic maintenance support to warehouse system operations
- Perform preventative maintenance, identify and correct problems of equipment using appropriate tools
- Perform work of routine difficulty under the guidance and supervision of the STP Supervisor and Lead Operator
- Provide maintenance management with the information, materials and training to enable to produce high quality work
- Perform special projects and other duties, such as writing preventative maintenance instructions from manufacturers specifications
- Perform work requests and projects
- Inspect and listen to equipment at periodic intervals to detect malfunctions or need for repair, adjustment or lubrication
- Operate welding and cutting equipment and complete metal fabrication projects
- Maintain clean, well-organized work area while performing all assigned tasks in a manner consistent with company safety and environmental requirements
- Perform other related building maintenance duties
- Keep sidewalks and parking lots well-marked, free of debris, snow and ice
- Adhere to governmental regulatory programs and policies
- Set up and operate electronic instrumentation and related electro mechanical or electro pneumatic/hydraulic apparatus used for operation of mechanical or electrical equipment or drives
- Lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery
- Perform preventive maintenance and upgrades to mechanical systems
