About the Opportunity
We’re supporting a search for a Maintenance Technician with a growing food manufacturing organization in Colorado. This role will support a highly automated manufacturing environment with production and packaging systems across ready-to-eat baked and natural food products. The facility is expanding with new automated lines, and this position will help troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and improve equipment reliability across production and packaging operations. This is a strong fit for a multi-craft maintenance technician with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and controls experience who can work in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Do
You’ll support maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and reliability improvement across automated production and packaging systems.
Key areas of focus include:
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair automated production and packaging systems
• Support automated ingredient handling and batching systems
• Support mixing and extrusion equipment
• Support chocolate enrobing and finishing systems
• Support high-speed packaging lines with robotic cartoning and case packing
• Perform multi-craft troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and controls systems
• Interface with PLC/HMI systems to interpret faults, diagnose issues, and support controls-level troubleshooting
• Execute and improve preventive maintenance programs
• Support predictive maintenance initiatives
• Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures
• Implement sustainable corrective actions
• Support equipment reliability and efficiency improvements
• Work with PLC systems, including Siemens and Allen Bradley
• Support robotics and automation components
• Use CMMS tools to support maintenance activity
Who You Are
You are a hands-on maintenance technician with strong troubleshooting ability across mechanical, electrical, and controls systems.
You are comfortable working around automated equipment, high-speed packaging, robotics, and food manufacturing processes. You would do well here if you are a strong problem solver, communicate well with others, and can work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Preferred Experience & Attributes
• Strong multi-craft capability across mechanical, electrical, and controls systems
• Experience with automated manufacturing and integrated production lines
• Solid electrical troubleshooting skills
• PLC systems and I/O troubleshooting experience
• VFDs, motors, drives, and motion systems experience
• Pneumatics and basic hydraulics experience
• Sensors, vision systems, and automation components experience
• Ability to troubleshoot system-level issues across upstream and downstream processes
• High-speed packaging systems and robotics experience preferred
• Preventive and predictive maintenance knowledge
• Experience identifying and implementing equipment reliability and efficiency improvements
• Food manufacturing, GMP, and sanitary design knowledge
• CMMS experience preferred
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
