Job Impulse, Inc. has an immediate opening for an Assembly Shift Leader in Rochester Hills MI. Our client is a Tier One Automotive Supplier who makes small plastic connector parts.

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Tech to join our team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Maintenance Tech will be responsible for overseeing the Maintenance during their designated shift, ensuring all assembly lines, machines / presses are running smoothly.

Responsibilities for an Assembly (Metal) Maintenance Technician includes:

  • Maintain a safe work environment (Insure compliance with MIOSHA regulations)
  • Preform daily safety walks
  • Mechanical Safety
  • Support all assembly production activities
  • Preform job duties as assigned by Assembly Supervisor.
  • Conduct regular maintenance tasks, identify and diagnose equipment problems, and implement preventive maintenance measures according to schedule.
  • Maintain department equipment and tools.
  • Ability to operate and inspect overhead crane.
  • Ability to operate and inspect motorized material handling devices.
  • Work with other departments in times of need.
  • Reports to the Supervisor results or issues of repairs or changes.
  • Able to read blue prints / machine diagnostics.
  • Able to read Electrical schematics
  • Ability to trouble shoot pneumatics
  • Electromechanical certification is a plus
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
  • OSHA 10 hour outreach program general industry
  • Work Independently.
  • Provide technical support to production staff and other maintenance personnel
  • Able to understand basic scanning procedures.
  • Any other activities assigned by your supervisor.
  • Fabricate fixtures, stands, racks, tables, etc. from blueprints, sketches, or verbal line up.
  • Lock out/Tag out machinery when necessary is a plus.
  • Able to work overtime and weekends as needed based on business needs
  • Flexible to support other shifts as needed.

Must Have:

  • Ability to lift and carry weights greater than 35lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for long hours.
  • Maintain ongoing education regarding new technology.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (excel / outlook).
  • Fanuc handling tool operations and programming (a plus).
  • PLC Trouble shooting (a plus).
  • Vision system trouble shooting (a plus).
  • Familiar with Keyance IV vision software (a plus).
  • Keyance marking builder 2 & 3 software (a plus).
  • Keyance XG / CV vision software (a plus).
  • Machining experience is a plus (a plus).

REQUIRED Experience and Education:

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent or higher education
  • 3+ years of related experience in manufacturing maintenance field
  • Automotive Sector –Production Facilities.
