Maintenance Technician
Job Description
Position Summary:
Our client is a newer manufacturer in the Summerville, SC. area. They are still very much so in startup mode and the company is expanding at a rapid pace. The facility does die casting and machining and supplies to a variety of customers in the heavy truck and automotive sector.
THESE POSITIONS (4 openings) ARE ALL ON 3RD SHIFT. THERE ARE NO OTHER SHIFTS AVAILABLE RIGHT NOW.
Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for machine upkeep and maintenance on the shop floor.
- Maintenance Technicians will respond to machines that are down and will trouble shoot and repair the machine to get it running again.
- You will work alone or in small teams on 3rd shift make sure the machinery is performing as needed.
- The type of work you will do will include but are not limited to: PLC troubleshooting, electrical work 480V 3 phase power, hydraulics, mechanical work (motors, servo drives, wiring etc.)
- When not taking on downed equipment, you will likely either be doing PMs or continued training to be more effective on plant equipment.
Required Skills:
- Must be willing to work 3rd shift and overtime as required- we are working towards a better work/life balance by filling these final Maintenance openings.
- Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder (no sponsorship)
- Must have some prior experience in INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE - residential Maintenance alone will not be sufficient
- Must have experience troubleshooting PLCS (Allen-Bradley or Siemens preferred)
- Must have experience working with high voltage machinery (480V)
- Must be able to demonstrate safe work actions
- Post secondary education in a Maintenance related field is preferred but not required
- Client facility is hot due to type of work they do. It is not as hot at night time but must be able to work in hot environment safely
