About Our Client:

Our client, an international established Tier-1 automotive supplier located in Brampton, Ontario, is searching for an eager Maintenance Technician looking to start with them on the ground floor of their Canadian operations. This location will be expanding into a third line soon, and needs Maintenance Technicians who are open to working between 3 shifts in a 24hr operation.

About This Role:

This position will be reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor. As the Maintenance Technician, you will to ensure that the facility as well as the machinery housed in the facility, is operational and is operating in a safe mode that does not create a safety or environmental hazard.


· Under minimal supervision, performs a combination of advanced and basic mechanical and electrical preventative maintenance work

  • In charge of daily machine repairs/troubleshooting and proper corrective actions
  • Working with Pick/Place, Vision Correction Systems, Servo Motors, and Conveyors (belts)
  • Troubleshoot PLC programming as needed

· Helps to establish a spare part inventory and makes recommendations on spare parts usage and stock level

· Fills in work orders to document root cause of equipment breakdown and troubleshooting method

· Fills in preventive and predictive reports

· Troubleshoot process problems and initiative and/or participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives and quality improvements

· Adheres to safety standards by promoting a safe work environment through attending safety committees, training, and verifying all safety concerns are addressed


· Minimum of 1-2 years automotive experience, OEM(s), Tier 1 & Tier II

· Have a demonstrated experience in previous electro-mechanical area

· Able to read and troubleshoot Siemens S7 PLC logic

· College diploma - Mechatronics, Mechanical-Electrical Eng or similar work experience

· Excellent communication skills dealing with internal departments, equipment suppliers and other 3rd party service providers

· Experienced with MS Office and Maintenance software

· Ability to work a flexible schedule if required

· Able to read electric, hydraulic and pneumatic circuit diagrams

· Ability to attain C.Tech or C.E.T. certification

· Knowledge of ISO 9000, ISO TS 16949, ISO 14001. Ability to write procedures and work instructions
