Maintenance Technician – Healthcare

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our healthcare facilities support team. This individual will be responsible for conducting preventive maintenance, performing general repairs, and ensuring that all building systems operate efficiently and safely. This role is pivotal in maintaining a secure and functional environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Focus:

  • Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance on facility equipment and building systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair lighting, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Monitor and coordinate services provided by third-party vendors.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency calls.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in rotating on-call shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Skill Set:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience maintaining commercial or healthcare facilities is strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of general maintenance techniques across HVAC, plumbing, and lighting systems.
  • Must be comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications; familiarity with Microsoft 365 is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and customer-oriented attitude.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs, detect odors (e.g., smoke or chemicals), and perform physical tasks on ladders or overhead.

Preferred Experience

  • Hands-on knowledge of HVAC system diagnostics and repairs.
  • Experience working in healthcare or similarly regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is advantageous.
