Maintenance Technician II

Role Overview

Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities to support production equipment and facility operations in a manufacturing environment. This role requires independent work, strong diagnostic skills, and adherence to safety standards.

Compensation: Pay is based on experience and qualifications.


Core Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on production equipment and facility systems

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits, motors, controls, and related components

  • Install, test, maintain, and repair wiring, fixtures, starters, and control devices

  • Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation

  • Use testing equipment to diagnose system and component failures

  • Support preventative maintenance programs to reduce downtime

  • Ensure continuity and functionality of electrical systems through testing

  • Follow lockout/tagout and all applicable safety procedures

  • Complete maintenance documentation and required paperwork

  • Work independently with minimal supervision


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Several years of experience in industrial electrical or maintenance roles

  • Working knowledge of PLCs, I/O logic, and AC/DC drives

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics

  • Familiarity with electrical codes and safe operating procedures

  • Basic math, reading, and writing skills

  • Computer proficiency for documentation and reporting

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills


Physical / Work Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to approximately 75 lbs

  • Stand and walk for extended periods

  • Perform bending, reaching, and manual handling tasks

  • Work in an industrial manufacturing environment
