Job Description

Maintenance Supervisor – Multifamily Portfolio
High Point / Graham, NC

We’re partnering with a privately owned, well-established multifamily operator in the High Point/Graham area to hire a hands-on, solutions-driven Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations at their flagship community while supporting a 3-property portfolio totaling 450+ units.

This is not a corporate, checkbox-driven role. This is an opportunity for a strong operator who takes pride in their work, leads from the front, and understands how maintenance directly impacts resident experience, asset value, and NOI.

If you’re someone who can diagnose a problem, fix it, and build a team that does the same—this is your environment.

Why This Role Stands Out

You’ll be stepping into a lean, owner-operated platform where your voice matters and your work is visible. There’s no red tape, no layers of approvals—just a team that values accountability, speed, and getting the job done right.

You’ll partner closely with Property Management and ownership, playing a key role in maintaining and improving asset performance across the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all maintenance operations for the flagship community, with support across two additional properties
  • Lead, train, and mentor maintenance staff, setting clear expectations and holding the team accountable
  • Manage and prioritize work orders, unit turns, and preventative maintenance programs
  • Ensure vacant units are turned efficiently, on time, and to company standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance issues
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships and oversee third-party contractors when needed
  • Monitor inventory, control expenses, and operate within budget guidelines
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, inspections, and local regulations
  • Partner closely with Property Managers to align maintenance execution with leasing and operational goals
  • Contribute to curb appeal, asset preservation, and overall community presentation

What We’re Looking For

  • 3–5+ years of multifamily maintenance experience, with prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong technical knowledge across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs
  • EPA certification required (CPO preferred)
  • Proven ability to manage unit turns, work orders, and preventative maintenance at scale
  • Comfortable working in Class C/D or value-add environments
  • Highly organized, responsive, and solution-oriented
  • Ability to work independently while also leading and motivating a team
  • Strong work ethic—someone who takes ownership and pride in the condition of their community
  • Reliable, hands-on leader who isn’t afraid to jump in when needed

Culture & Environment

  • Entrepreneurial, owner-operated company with a “get it done” mentality
  • Lean teams where everyone contributes—no excess layers or bureaucracy
  • Direct access to leadership and the ability to make a real impact
  • High accountability, high trust, and a strong sense of team

This is an ideal opportunity for a seasoned Maintenance Supervisor looking for a more agile, high-impact environment where your skills and work ethic will be recognized.
