Maintenance Multi-Techs – All Shifts

Do you have a strong, well-rounded maintenance skillset; work well independently and enjoy being part of a team? Our Multi-Techs require expertise in multiple areas of maintenance. They perform diagnostic and troubleshooting techniques on equipment and systems, perform upgrades and repairs to existing equipment and systems in order to improve the performance, reliability, and Absolute Safety of the equipment and systems.

Multi-Techs must perform electrical and mechanical installations, program PLC’s, reset faults, and identify root causes of failures. They also lead and develop the skills of other members of the team.

We have one opening on both 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Duties include:

  • Dismantling equipment, removing defective parts and reassembling without supervision.
  • Using electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and blueprints to diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, or install equipment or systems.
  • Using electronic Work Order system to plan, execute, and record detailed corrective actions.
  • Identify and install upgrades, improvements, or substitute parts and components.
  • Perform basic plumbing repairs and installations.
  • Perform repairs and fabrications utilizing lathes, milling machines, saws, and drill presses.
  • Perform quality welding repairs utilizing MIG, TIG, and stick welding equipment.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of ladder logic and skilled at writing PLC logic programs.
  • Perform troubleshooting and configuration of Ethernet/IP Systems.
  • Use advanced test and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot and resolve problems with complex equipment and solutions.
  • Design, fabrication, and installation of electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Train others to operate new and existing equipment and systems to develop their skills and understanding of the equipment.
  • Follow complex procedures, do preventative maintenance and find hidden defects and correct, also update equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, identify, and record root causes of failure. Identify recurring issues and document fixes for future reference.
  • Perform mathematical calculations that assist in fabrication and evaluation of performance of equipment.

Qualifications:

We are seeking candidates with:

  • Minimum of High School or equivalent; technical schooling or degree in advanced electronics and PLC programming preferred.
  • Ability to troubleshoot Electrical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic and Mechanical equipment independently, utilizing schematics, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting trees.
  • Ability to read and write PLC ladder logic programs.
  • Have knowledge of computer and network systems.
  • Have a desire and ability to attain further education in maintenance functions that apply to the plant.
  • Knowledge of basic plumbing.
  • Be willing to train operations and maintenance personnel.
  • Ability to work independently and have good communication with Maintenance and Operations Leadership.
  • Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software, and ability to learn the various computer programs owned by the company.
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills. Must document all work with as much detail as possible.
  • Must adhere/comply with all Company policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Must have knowledge and ability to attain certification in: Lock Out Tag Out, Use of Power Industrial Trucks (PIT) and NFPA 70E Arc Flash

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee must be able to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch and lift up to 50 lbs. and shared weight up to 100 lbs. Occasional exposure to airborne dust, high humidity and extremes of hot and cold are possible.
