Maintenance Materials Coordinator (St. Augustine, FL USA)

The Materials Coordinator will report directly to the Maintenance Reliability Manager.

  • Successful candidate will be accountable for safety, health, and environmental issues related to this position.
  • Conduct activities related to the preparation, transportation, staging, clean up, and post installation processing of parts and components related to PM activities.
  • Conduct activities for aiding Technician and minimizing the duration of an unplanned equipment outage by providing part staging and removal.
  • Maintain workplace organization through the continued process of housekeeping and 5S activities in the Warehouse, Maintenance Storage Area and the Remelt Parts Storage Area.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Sequence workload and perform inventory controls, audits, and level adjustments, as determined by the Maintenance Reliability Manager.
  • Ensure all available components required for the execution of planned activities are prepared prior to the equipment outage and staged in a predetermined location with documented BOM and required blueprints.
  • Interact, communicate with Technicians, and assist to maximize their effectiveness.
  • Assemble components and kit packages prior to outages to increase the effectiveness of the planned activities with accompanying work orders designated on packages.
  • Secure parts and communicate inventory deficiencies as found and make recommendations to align stock quantities to align with part usage.
  • Confirm component accuracy through the utilization of blueprints and field checks on facility equipment and spare parts.
  • Secure and prepare parts (new/used) for transport either for installation or removal from the facility in accordance with any defined handling requirements and documented protocols for tagging and processing of parts.
  • Maintain the improvement and sustainment of housekeeping and workplace organization in the Maintenance storage area for PM effectiveness to align with upcoming equipment outages and satellite component storage quantity control.
  • Provide material management support to unplanned equipment outages as defined by the Maintenance Reliability Manager to include post equipment change out processing protocols.

Key Requirements:

Work Experience

  • Forklift, Crane, and Fall Protection certification/license.
  • Working knowledge of facility equipment.

Education

  • Associates Preferred or equivalent experience.

Functional/Technical Knowledge

  • Possess computer skills and be fluent in Excel, MVP Plant and SAP.
  • Must be able to locate, read, interpret and compose job plans from blue prints.
