Responsibilities

  • Responsible for purchasing of raw materials and vendor management
    •Coordinating equipment repairs and maintenance activities with production and scheduling
    •Responsible for taking a lead role with plant safety initiatives
    •Responsible for negotiating pricing with vendors/contractors
    •Assist production/scheduling with coordinating and monitoring all resin activities within the plant
    •Responsible for maintaining the plant part inventory
    •Maintaining records and ensuring compliance with all capital projects
    •Maintaining plant property, building and grounds
    •Responsible for preventative and predictive maintenance
    •Responsible for establishing TPM program including planning, scheduling and executing complete restoration events
    •Establish visual autonomous check and auditing process
    •Drive continuous improvement initiatives in all areas that will improve YOY productivity/budget requirements
    •Use Lean Manufacturing methodology to drive systematic problem solving activities
  • Provide ongoing technical support to plant operations to insure optimum quality and delivery performance for the plant.
    • Assist engineering with new equipment installations and debugging of new product production lines.
    • Product and process improvement of existing equipment.
    • Establishing guidelines for preventative maintenance of machines.
    • Assisting plant production and quality assurance in maintaining processes and maximizing machine performance and quality issues.
    • Maintaining all equipment to a high level of safety.
    • Investigate and implement advances in equipment.
    • Assist in component evaluation for new products and new product testing.
    • Provide equipment technical support
    • Resource for equipment repairs
    • Overall technical support to the plant.
    • Responsible for new equipment ordering and installation
    • Investigate and track advances in equipment
    • Support plant to refine existing production lines.
    • Assist engineering group in providing leadership for all plant capital projects.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • AS or BS degree in Electrical Engineering, (or equivalent industry experience) preferred but is not required.
    • Minimum 5 years experience in a related position in the manufacturing industry, with a preferred background in packaging manufacturing.
    • Strong knowledge of hydraulic (proportional/servo valves, variable displacement pumps), electrical/electronic systems and PLC/IPC controls (Allen-Bradley, GE-Fanuc, Beckhoff, etc.)
