Maintenance Manager needed in Detroit, MI

The Position

The Maintenance Manager will partner with the Plant Manager and Corporate Engineering team to oversee a group of 20 reports. The Maintenance Manager will have 2 direct reports and 18 indirect reports and will be responsible for all Maintenance and Project Engineering within the facility. This organization is looking for someone with a proven track record of running maintenance departments along with strong communication and people development skills.

Candidate Qualifications

The candidate must have the ability to lead and develop future leaders. Additional qualifications include:

• Prior experience managing a Maintenance Team
• Ability to manage a budget
• Background in Health and Safety
• Preventative Maintenance and Troubleshooting background along with maintaining inventory systems
• Knowledge of Maintenance, Quality and Planning
• Ability to make data-based decisions using the Lean/Six Sigma Methodology
• High level of integrity and professionalism
• Passion and sense of urgency
• Strong leadership skills
• Prior experience working within Heavy Manufacturing
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal, presentation)
• Able to work within the United States
