About the Opportunity
We’re supporting a search for a Maintenance Manager with a food manufacturing organization in Maryland. This role will lead maintenance across a multi-shift operation with a focus on equipment reliability, electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, PLC support, parts inventory, CMMS usage, and team leadership. The biggest current need is PLC strength, but the ideal candidate will be well-rounded across both electrical and mechanical maintenance. This is a strong fit for a maintenance leader who understands the sense of urgency needed in food manufacturing and can lead supervisors and technicians across shifts.

What You’ll Do
You’ll lead maintenance activity with a focus on uptime, troubleshooting, team leadership, parts management, and plant support.

Key areas of focus include:

• Lead maintenance operations across the facility
• Support electrical and mechanical troubleshooting
• Provide technical leadership around PLC-related needs
• Work with Allen Bradley PLCs
• Lead and support maintenance supervisors and technicians across shifts
• Manage and support a substantial parts inventory
• Use CMMS tools to track maintenance activity and support department performance
• Support the transition to a new CMMS system
• Bring urgency and follow-through to maintenance work in a food manufacturing environment
• Partner with operations leadership to support plant needs
• Help maintain reliable equipment performance across the operation

Who You Are
You are a well-rounded maintenance leader with strong electrical, mechanical, and PLC experience.

You can lead people, support troubleshooting, and stay close to the floor while keeping the department organized. You understand how fast food manufacturing moves and can bring the urgency needed to support production.

You would do well here if you are hands-on, responsive, technically strong, and able to lead supervisors and technicians across multiple shifts.

Preferred Experience & Attributes
• Food manufacturing experience preferred
• PLC experience required
• Allen Bradley PLC experience preferred
• Strong electrical and mechanical skills
• CMMS experience required
• Parts inventory management experience
• 5+ years of people leadership experience preferred
• 3+ years of people leadership experience considered
• Experience leading maintenance supervisors and technicians
• Ability to support a multi-shift maintenance team
• Degree preferred
