Our client, an established food manufacturer, seeks a Maintenance Manager for their Wisconsin facility. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive equipment reliability and maintenance excellence while building and developing high-performing teams. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead facility maintenance operations and equipment reliability programs
  • Develop and implement comprehensive preventative maintenance systems
  • Build and mentor maintenance team capabilities
  • Manage computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Drive continuous improvement in maintenance operations
  • Oversee equipment performance metrics and KPIs
  • Create and maintain standard work procedures and documentation
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and external vendors
  • Manage maintenance budgets and resources effectively

Required Qualifications

  • Four-year degree or Technical degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
  • 5+ years maintenance management experience in manufacturing
  • Strong experience implementing maintenance management systems
  • Proven leadership experience in manufacturing environment
  • Expertise with CMMS, PLC, and SCADA systems
  • Strong mechanical and electrical systems knowledge
  • Food/beverage industry experience preferred
  • Background in maintenance improvement initiatives preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Up to 8 hours standing/sitting
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Capable of climbing ladders and accessing equipment

  • May require extended hours and emergency response

Reporting Structure

  • Works closely with Engineering Manager and Plant Manager
  • Direct supervision of maintenance technicians and apprentices
  • Collaborates with vendors and contractors

The successful candidate will make an immediate impact in the first 6 months by assessing current systems, implementing preventative maintenance programs, and establishing performance tracking. Within 12 months, they will have implemented comprehensive CMMS utilization, developed team capabilities, and created sustainable maintenance planning systems.
