Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the General Manager of a leading provider of crane, rigging and specialized transportation services. Their team of experts has extensive working knowledge within plants and worksites including commercial and civil construction sites, oil and gas, power generation, paper processing, mining and much more.
The Maintenance Manager position will encompass managerial, direct oversight and responsibility of employees, vendors, contractors used in direct support of the company’s mission requirements for maintenance and repair facilities. Cost containment, quality of repairs, and equipment operational readiness are the major focus of this role. Essential functions include Cost Containment - operate at or below established budgets, maintain a stabilized and experienced workforce of technicians, perform, and assist as necessary in the diagnostic repair of company owned, rented leased or contracted equipment; If required, travel to remote locations to support the maintenance efforts of equipment; Maintain a strong, functional working relationship with all business units; Maintain the operational readiness of any domiciled equipment at 90% or higher in accordance with standards as defined in Local, State and Federal regulations; Ensure that all repairs are being completed within OEM standards or at a minimum in accordance with industry best practices; Maintain shop employee productivity standards above 80%; Assist in strengthening and streamlining company’s internal maintenance processes; Ensure any mechanics are maintaining required certifications, are attending equipment specific training as it becomes available and is budgeted for; Reduce the use of and dependency on vendors on the actual yards and at remote locations as much as possible; Establish and control parts inventory on hand with a less than 2% waste / loss; Ensure that company is in and maintains compliance with any Local, State or Federal requirements with respect to storage, disposal of any hazardous or waste materials, this includes liquids and solids; Maintain a clean safe work environment in accordance with current OSHA applicable standards; Develop an ongoing quality training program for technicians that covers both company and OEM requirements to maintain any applicable certifications; Submit reports as required to various management personnel; Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company employees and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity, and efficiency/effectiveness; Maintain FCC to ensure all work being performed is documented via workorders, purchase orders and down time recorded as needed.

Background Required:
- Crane, Class 8 Truck and Specialized Trailer Maintenance Management (5 years)
- Multiple facility staff management
- Parts management & procurement
- Strong Diagnostic skills for Electrical, Pneumatic, and Hydraulic systems
- P&L responsibility in excess of $500,000
- Fleet Management Software: Fleet Cost & Care
- Computer Skills: Microsoft Suite, various operating platforms
- Education: High School Diploma
- Residence: Longview, TX (relocation assistance may be provided)
