Maintenance & Engineering Manager

To ensure the design and capability of new and modified equipment, including tools, gauges, and layout of manufacturing processes are state-of—the-art and capable.

Responsibilities

  • Design and fabricate or purchase prototype tooling, equipment, fixtures, etc. to test manufacturing capability of products, identify any process problems and modify accordingly to achieve the specified objectives.
  • Purchase, fabricate and install capital equipment to maintain a state-of-the-art, capable production processes and future operation readiness.
  • Analyze, review, and modify existing processes to optimize productivity, quality and safety
  • Develop cost requirements for projects, write and track capital expenditure requests for each project through completion.
  • Establish Gantt Charts for projects with regular updates to monitor progress and assure timely completion.
  • Coordinate large-scale projects, acting as the general contractor with fabricators and vendors, while leading assigned internal personnel.
  • Ensure Manufacturing Engineers are addressing all aspects of process design for new/modified processes and equipment.
  • Assist as a subject matter expert for training employees to operate equipment.
  • Provide guidance to maintenance in repair and preventive maintenance.
  • Establish standardized work instructions and tooling setup procedures.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree preferred but not required
  • Previous Maintenance leadership experience within a manufacturing plant
  • 3 years’ experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical installation and/or electrical/electronic maintenance experience
  • Must be able to interface with all levels of management to be effective in the position
